Aang as Avatar: The Last Airbender is a fictional character from Nickelodeon’s animated TV series, created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The story is about a boy named, Aang as the last surviving Airbender and a monk of the Air Nomads, the only race of people with the unique ability to manipulate the air around them. He is also a super centenarian at the age of 112 year old which he was in suspended animation for one century, making his biological age twelve. It is revealed as the current incarnation of the Avatar, the spirit of the planet manifested in human form. As the Avatar, Aang controls the elements such as Air Nomad, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Water Tribe.
Most of Aang's traits, such as vegetarianism, are based on Buddhist and Taoist tradition. Aang is the series' reluctant hero, showing hesitation when joining his friends to save the world from the Fire Nation. His "lighthearted" personality has been accepted well among critics. The creators intended Aang to "defeat enemies with his wits" and be a "trickster hero".

The movie was really good. I'm pretty sure whoever wrote the movie had no higher than a fourth grade education and only saw the Boy in the Iceberg and the Siege of the North episodes. I have watch Last Airbender, The dialogue was as bad as the actors, and the characters were boring and static (with the possible exception of Zuko). None of the important minor characters were there (among the missing: Bato, Bumi, Haru, Jeong Jeong, Jet, Teo, and Suki), and neither were any of the odd creatures that they come in contact with (no platypus bears or turtle ducks, and Momo looked ridiculous)- Appa looked okay, but was only treated as a vehicle; his only relationship with Aang was by way of transportation.
