My Review:
Last week I watched this movie at the mall along with my nice Gabriel. Remembering my childhood days, I used to watched and followed Astro Boy only in a TV series program when I was a kid (if am not mistaken am just only 7 or 8 year old) because of his amazing power and being a cool kid robot. That’s why am also kinda excited (tsk tsk…) to watch again Astro Boy but for this time in a 3-D animated film, just to reminisce my childhood and of course have bonding with nice. For me, this movie are really entertaining with good values message that a kid must have learn and I think it also give an idea of what a robot can may do for human (good or bad). Happy watching…

As you remember this first mention in a year ago on this blog called “G.I. Joe countdown for Zartan” which regards on the release of movie and now this is the finale update of this a much awaited movie of 2009.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is an upcoming live action film adaptation from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise, which will be released on August 7, 2009. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers who also a director for the “The Mummy: Return”, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and written by Stuart Beattie based on a 1998 screenplay by John Paul Kay. G.I. Joe features an ensemble cast based on the various characters of the franchise. Filming took place in Downey, California and Prague's Barrandov Studios.

The movie was set ten years in the futre and an origin story that will focus in the rise of the Cobra Organization. Stephen Sommers said, "For people who know nothing about it, it'll make sense. And to people who love this stuff, it'll show where they all came from." The film focuses on Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord's (Marlon Wayans) induction into the G.I. Joe Team, providing the audience's point-of-view. Locations include the Arctic, Paris, Moscow, Washington, D.C., Australia and the Sahara. The G.I. Joe Team is based in the Pit, while it was indicated Cobra Island will appear.
